About the lecture
Water, H2O, is the matrix of life. At once a simple molecule and a very special substance with extraordinary and universal properties, it inextricably permeates the social, ecological, biological and geological structure of the Earth (and of how many other exoplanets?). We will take a brief tour of some of the properties of the molecule, of the substance, and of its immanent presence.
