About the lecture

In 2017, the Dawn probe revealed the presence of organic material on the surface of Ceres, a finding that marked a milestone in the exploration of the dwarf planet closest to Earth.

Recent studies have identified new regions with signs of additional organic compounds, broadening our understanding of this fascinating world.

During the talk we will explore what makes Ceres such a relevant object, delving into the organic findings, their possible importance for astrobiology and the future prospects for its study.
